Kitchen Cabinetry Upgrade in Cimarron Hills, Georgetown TX 78628
This Cimarron Hills upgrade is the only project in the KBB portfolio that wasn't a full kitchen remodel -- and that's exactly what made it interesting. The homeowners wanted to upgrade their cooking appliances and improve storage without disrupting the existing layout. The challenge was designing new cabinetry that blended invisibly with what was already there. Owner Bert Bell matched the original wood species, door style, and stain through a detailed finishing process, producing new cabinets that look like they were part of the kitchen from day one.
To accommodate the transition from a freestanding range to a rangetop and a built-in Bosch combination oven, a new custom cabinet was built and tied seamlessly into the existing run. Along the main kitchen wall, a framed-in pantry and dividing wall were removed and replaced with full-height built-in cabinetry -- including a roll-out pantry storage section, a dedicated double oven cabinet, and a built-in desk area at the end of the wall for a functional workspace.
The result is a kitchen that functions significantly better than before, with appliances the homeowners actually wanted and storage that works -- all without the cost or disruption of a full remodel. The homeowners noted the project came in on time and within budget, with a hands-on contractor who got it right.

Before & After Images of Cimarron Hills Upgrade
“We were in need of a double oven and range top to replace a standard free standing oven. Problem: our pantry closet was the only space available which meant we either gave up the pantry or keep what we had. Bert was able to redesign that portion of the kitchen resulting in a range top, two ovens, pantry doors with pull out shelves expanding our storage and giving the kitchen a more functional arrangement. The project was completed pretty much as projected and within budget. Bert is a hands on get it right contractor–would recommend him highly.” – David L. (Georgetown, TX)
