This Anderson Mill backyard started as an empty concrete patio surrounded by existing limestone perimeter walls. The homeowners wanted a fully equipped outdoor kitchen that could handle serious entertaining — built to last and designed to feel like a natural extension of the home. Owner, Bert Bell led the design and construction process, coordinating every detail before the build began.
The outdoor kitchen was built against the existing limestone wall using a stacked slate stone veneer to tie the structure into the surrounding hardscape. Black granite countertops run the length of the installation, providing a durable, elegant work surface throughout. The appliance package is built around a full Lynx lineup — including a large built-in grill, side burners, beverage center, ice maker, warming drawers, and a dishwasher — giving the homeowners a completely self-sufficient outdoor cooking and entertaining zone.
A dedicated pizza oven sits as a centerpiece on the slate stone structure between the two counter runs, and a Big Green Egg station anchors one end of the space. Together the U-shaped layout creates a complete outdoor cooking experience with multiple options for grilling, smoking, baking, and entertaining simultaneously.
