Guest Bathroom Remodel in Bluff Springs, South Austin TX 78747
This South Austin guest bath in the Bluff Springs neighborhood had been untouched since the 1990s -- dated finishes, a cramped tub/shower combo, and a layout the homeowners had put off remodeling for years. Once they found Owner Bert Bell, that changed fast. All scope and selections were locked in before demo to keep the project organized from start to finish.
Everything came out from floor to ceiling. The existing tub was replaced with a new walk-in shower tiled to the ceiling with 10x30 patterned Palazzo Grey tile, paired with a frameless low-iron tempered glass enclosure for a clean, open feel. The bathroom floor was finished with 12x24 Fossil Smoke tile for a modern, durable surface. New WaterSense-certified fixtures were installed throughout, including a new toilet, vanity faucet, and showerhead -- an easy upgrade that saves water without sacrificing performance.
The vanity and over-the-toilet cabinets were built in frameless shaker style and finished with a dark brown dye stain for contrast. Venatino quartz tops the vanity, and the space was completed with a new mirror, updated lighting, and a shaker-style entry door to tie the updated look together.
The finished South Austin guest bath is brighter, more functional, and far beyond what the homeowners imagined -- a complete transformation from a 30-year-old layout they almost gave up on.
