Kitchen Remodel in South Austin, TX
This South Austin renovate kitchen needed a cleaner layout and a more open feel. The original space was divided by walls and tight storage zones, so Owner, Bert Bell reworked the plan to create a brighter, more functional kitchen that fit the way the homeowners actually use the space. All scope, selections, and scheduling were finalized before demo to keep the project running smoothly.
We removed walls to open the layout, added structural support, and redesigned the storage zones around new flush‑mounted refrigerator and freezer columns. The cabinetry was upgraded to frameless blue shaker with quartz countertops and a porcelain mosaic backsplash for a crisp, modern look. Lighting was fully updated with recessed and under‑cabinet LEDs, and the new island and pantry cabinets were planned to maximize workflow and organization.
Thermador appliances, a gas cooktop with range hood, and a built‑in oven and microwave complete the cooking zone. The 17x20 gray hex tile flooring ties the entire space together. The result is a clean, open, and efficient kitchen that reflects the homeowners’ vision and works beautifully for everyday life.
